Hamrun Spartans Women's Team commenced its participation in the domestic league in the season 2008/2009.  During the first season, the team classified 8th in the Second Division - last place with only 3 points. 

In the following season, the team managed to classify 5th place with 18 points. 

In season 2010/2011, the team classified 4th place with 25 points. 

The following season - 2011/2012 - the team managed to classify second with 52 points, which meant promotion to the First Division, The Under 16 team classified 3rd in the league for this age group.

The going was tough for the Women's team in the First Division during season 2012-2013. The team ended last with 4 points.
